SSA has modified numerous HALLEX provisions addressing important procedural issues in the past two years.  This session will discuss the latest version of the HALLEX addressing such issues as: obtaining prior claim files (updated 6/9/14); waiver of the right to appear at the hearing (updated 8/29/14); assignment of cases to ALJs (updated 8/29/14); required disclosure of evidence before and after the hearing (updated 8/29/14); obtaining VE testimony through interrogatories (updated 8/29/14); issuance of subpoenas (updated 10/8/15); hearing procedures for unrepresented  claimants (updated 5/4/15); closing the hearing (updated 4/15/15); proffer procedures (updated 4//17/15); requests for extensions of time to file ja civil action (updated 3/2/15); scope of Appeals Council review (updated 1/13/16); and denials of Requests for Reviews (updated 6/25/15).
